Our 25^th Anniversary

This year, 2010, marks the 25^th anniversary of ACE – a significant milestone for our company. ACE was established in 1985 by 34 founding corporate sponsors to provide hard-to-find excess liability and directors and officers coverage. That summer, ACE Bermuda opened for business and soon after, ACE wrote its first insurance policy.

No one could have predicted the remarkable growth and success that would follow. Back in 1985, ACE Bermuda offered just two products. Today the ACE Group has a diverse portfolio of property and casualty, accident and health, life and personal lines products, and is recognized as a global leader in insurance and reinsurance.  With more than 15,000 talented and dedicated employees, ACE has offices in more than 50 countries around the world and conducts business with customers in more than 140 countries.

The Tradition Continues

There have been a number of significant changes in our company over the years, but insurance has been and remains our only business. Our customer focus, underwriting discipline, specialty product orientation and strong balance sheet distinguish us from other companies. 

ACE insures progress. It’s what we’ve excelled at for 25 years and we are committed to carrying this tradition into the future.

ACE Donates $250,000 for Earthquake Relief Efforts in Haiti

On January 12, a series of strong earthquakes devastated many parts of Haiti, including its capital Port-au-Prince. Tens of thousands are feared dead, many more are missing or injured, and millions are now homeless.

In response to this tragedy, the ACE Charitable Foundation will make a $250,000 donation to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund. Assistance provided by the fund will be used to send relief supplies, mobilize relief workers, and for other activities to help those affected by the earthquakes.
