ACE RESTRUCTURES FOR GREATER COMPANY EXPANSION
ACE South Africa 02 May 2007

ACE South Africa today announced that David Maynard, the casualty & financial lines manager is returning to the UK in early May to take on the position of excess multinational manager based in our Leadenhall Street office in London.

Speaking of the move, Scott Pickering, CEO of ACE South Africa says: “David was instrumental in the development of this division in South Africa and I wish him well in his new role.”

Penny Randall, former property manager has been promoted to the position of property & casualty manager South Africa with responsibility for the overall property & casualty business teams.

“Penny has made a significant contribution to the growth of our business since joining the company in August last year,” says Pickering, “and her previous role as casualty and crisis management manager for AIG Africa equips her with the necessary skill sets to take on these additional responsibilities.”

Joining her as casualty manager from June 1st is Emlyn Hoods, formerly of AIG.  During his career at AIG, Hoods was an underwriter in the liabilities group, an account relationship manager for the major accounts practice in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and a graduate underwriter in the accident and health division. Emlyn possesses a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Witwatersrand.

“We are looking forward to growing our Casualty portfolio further,” adds Pickering, “and I’m very confident that in Penny and Emlyn we have the team to make this happen”.
