Laura Middelmann has been appointed as Underwriter: Property & Technical Lines for ACE Insurance Limited, South Africa.
 
Middlemann joins ACE Insurance Ltd (South Africa) from ACE INA (London) where she worked in the Catastrophe Risk Management department.

Middlemann has been working for ACE in London for the past 2 years modelling and monitoring exposures to windstorm, earthquake, flood and other natural perils. She is trained in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) which ACE use as an exposure and aggregation monitoring tool.

Commenting on Middleman’s appointment, ACE CEO Scott Pickering said: “Laura brings a unique skill set in terms of her catastrophe modelling capabilities to the South African short term market. We are delighted to have her back as part of the ACE South Africa team, following the international experience she has received within our group. We now have extensive capabilities, skills and experience in our property, marine and technical lines team.”
